West Midlands Lupus Group Open Meeting, Sunday
17th October 2004
The Open Meeting was attended by around 70 Members and friends who raised
£260.20
during the afternoon through sales and a raffle.
Veronica Toescu – LUPUS UK Research Assistant – and Kate Peers – LUPUS UK
Specialist Nurse
outlined their work at the Queen Elizabeth/City Hospitals, Birmingham.
Gareth Treharne and Liz Hale – Health Research Psychologists – spoke about
their work with the
Lupus Drop-In Clinic based at the Guest Hospital, Dudley, and their
findings to date of the
interviews/research with Lupus patients.
They are seeking to find how patients perceive themselves and the
difference
Lupus has made to their lives.
